Privacy policy
Cooper Home is a private web application used by the members of one household to see their own information. It is not offered to the public. This page explains, in plain words, what the application reads, where it keeps it and who can see it.
Last updated 26 October 2026.
Who runs it
Cooper Home is operated by its household owner in Logan, Utah, for that household's own use. The only people who can sign in are the household's adult members.
What the application reads
- Calendars. Events from the Microsoft and Google calendars that a household member chooses to connect, read-only. Events marked private are shown only as a busy block.
- Bank accounts. Balances, transactions and loan details for the accounts a household member chooses to connect, through Plaid, read-only. The application cannot move money, make payments or change anything at a bank. Bank usernames and passwords are entered on Plaid's own screens and never reach the application.
- Household entries. Lists, notes, reminders and settings that members type in themselves.
What it does not do
- It does not sell, rent or share household data with anyone.
- It does not show advertising and does not use advertising or analytics trackers. This public page sets no cookies.
- It does not store email messages. If email features are added, only the extracted facts (for example a bill's amount and due date) are kept, never the message body.
Where the data lives
The application and its database run on Railway in the United States. Connection tokens for Microsoft, Google and Plaid are stored encrypted. Backups are encrypted. The application sits behind Cloudflare Access, which only lets the household's own email addresses through, and each member signs in with a passkey.
Google user data
Cooper Home's use and transfer to any other application of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google calendar data is used only to show the household's calendars inside the application.
Removing access and deleting data
A household member can disconnect any calendar or bank connection from inside the application at any time, which deletes the stored connection token. A member can also revoke the application's access directly in their Microsoft account, Google account or bank's connected-apps settings. Stored data is deleted on a member's request.
